Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension 100mg/5ml is a strawberry-flavored oral suspension that contains 100 mg of ibuprofen per 5 mL. It is used to relieve pain and fever in children aged 6 months and older.
Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension is indicated for the following conditions:
- Fever
- Pain associated with teething, earache, sore throat, headache, and minor injuries
- Pain and inflammation associated with colds and flu
How to use
The recommended dose of Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension is 5 mL (100 mg) for every 5 kg of body weight, every 6 to 8 hours. Do not give more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
To give Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension, shake the bottle well before use. Measure the dose with the dosing cup provided. Do not use a household spoon.
Warnings
Do not give Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension to children under 6 months of age.
Do not give Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension if your child is allergic to ibuprofen or any of the inactive ingredients.
Talk to your doctor before giving Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension to your child if they have any of the following conditions:
- Liver or kidney disease
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Asthma
- Stomach ulcers
- Bleeding or clotting problems
Side effects
Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension may cause the following side effects:
- Drowsiness
- Upset stomach
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Rash
If your child experiences any serious side effects, such as seizures, hives, or difficulty breathing, stop giving Afrab Ibuprofen Suspension and seek medical attention immediately.
Store at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children.
