Tylenol PM Extra Strength X24 Caplets is a nighttime pain reliever and sleep aid that helps you fall asleep fast and stay asleep. It contains 500 mg of acetaminophen, a pain reliever and fever reducer, and 25 mg of diphenhydramine HCl, a sleep aid.
Tylenol PM Extra Strength is used to relieve minor aches and pains, such as headaches, muscle aches, and arthritis pain, that may keep you awake at night. It can also be used to help you fall asleep when you have trouble sleeping due to colds, the flu, or allergies.
Tylenol PM Extra Strength is not habit-forming when used as directed. It is safe for most adults and children 12 years of age and older.
How to use
Take 2 caplets by mouth at bedtime. Do not take more than 2 caplets in 24 hours.
Warnings
Do not use if you are allergic to acetaminophen or diphenhydramine HCl.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not use if you are taking other medications that contain diphenhydramine HCl.
Talk to your doctor before using Tylenol PM Extra Strength if you have liver or kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, or difficulty urinating.
Side effects
Tylenol PM Extra Strength may cause drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, and difficulty concentrating. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own.
If you experience any serious side effects, such as seizures, hives, or difficulty breathing, stop using Tylenol PM Extra Strength and seek medical attention immediately.
